Fat (Factory Acceptance Test) - factory acceptance tests - equipment tests that are carried out directly at the factory after the equipment is manufactured. Most manufacturing plants have standard procedures for checking equipment after its release from production.
What if the customer wants to check the characteristics of the equipment under the specific conditions and parameters? Such testing can be coordinated and carried out, according to an individual program previously agreed upon with the manufacturer’s production line.
If at the stage of FAT testing a non-compliance of the equipment with technical characteristics is surfaced, a decision is made to correct the shortcomings. Upon successful completion of the tests, the equipment is sent to the customer’s site.
One of the additional advantages of FAT , in addition to the ability to verify the quality of the purchased equipment, is getting acquainted with the regulations and the production culture of a particular vendor.
