Data Center Design and Implementation Best Practices.

Features of the standard:
- BICSI identifies 5 classes of data center availability based on: redundancy of components and systems, use of products with a certain level of quality, measures to counter any external influences, including natural phenomena
- Touches upon architectural and structural aspects of planning
- Determines the factors of choice for the construction area
- Forms requirements for ensuring safety at all stages of design and construction, layout of premises, organization of life support systems
- Describes requirements for power supply and fire extinguishing systems, telecommunication and mechanical systems and information technology of the data center
- Includes requirements for the commissioning of the facility, its operation and maintenance.
